2003 server to NT4 domain
Can a Windows 2003 server (DC or otherwise) join a NT4 Domain. If so. do I
need any special patches?

Not a problem. You'll probably need to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP (on
Windows 2003) since Windows NT is involved.
