hey you all.

I'm using an Aztech ADSL 600EU router/modem and for some weird reason i can't access the modem's web page interface after some time.

typing the 192.168... thing usually brings up the login page but this time it kept showing a blank page.

i figured i'd reset the thing and what do you know, i'm able to see the login page again,

http://192.168.1.1/

but when i enter username/pass (the password's correct in case you're wonderin)
i can't access this page

http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webcm

it just shows up as a blank page. Any guess on why this is happenin?

i figured the prob could b wit the browser, i'm using ie7, so i switched to Firefox and again, the same bloody thing!

a blank freakin' page.

i finally reformatted and magically i can see the page now in both ie and firefox.

what the heck is goin on here?
i'm sure u guys will agree that reformatting is fun and all
but i'm at my wit's end here...

any idea people?

i'm using winxp by the way...(shouldn't we all...?)

I ran into a similar problem running on beta firmware of a different mfg. What I found was my password was too long, and had chrs it did not like. Just something to look at.

but here's the deal, i'm using the modem's default username/password setting.

We are talking about a router, aren't we? What does "reformatting" mean, exactly?

I think he means he reinstalled XP.

Yes to defaults. It has to do with the firmware using Java and scripts. If you are use IE it should work. If FF or others may not. I had one pc that worked with FF and one Not. Use IE.

Firewalls can block it, if you changed subnets.

Clear out temp internet files (cache). So it doesn't try to reload cached pages.
