i was looking at my motherboard i ordered and i was thinking the southbridge chipset seems a bit close to the pcie slot like its almost under it.

thats the card and i wanna get a 8800gts but now im pissed and im worrying i spent money on that mobo and the card wont even fit. also if it does fit im trying to decide to get the 8800gts with 320mb of ram or 640mb ram

should i get 640 or 320 of ram on the card if im going to be running res of 1280x1024 and 1400x900

well i was reading on another site u only need that much if u run at res higher than 1600x1200

if you plan on keeping those monitors/resolutions for a while.
then go for the 320mb version.

if you can afford it go for the 640mb one.

You can run 1600x1200 with the 320 but for around 70 to 80 bucks more get the 640 :wink:

but i need a new psu so the money i save on the memory would go towards psu and would it really make that much of a difference in frame rate
