Hey all,

I will be in the market for a new video card and system come by the end of april (AKA I filed my taxes early and I am getting P A I D).

There are two particular eVGA cards.

A superclocked eVGA 8800GTS 640 MB.

A regularly clocked eVGA 8800GTX 768MB

Both are clocked at the same speeds, but the GTS is significantly less expensive.

I want to run widescreen games at 1680x1050 at high detail. AA and AF really do not matter to me at all.

Would that particular GTS perform as well as the 8800GTX considering those graphic settings?

The 8800GTS will perform fine.

However, if you can spend the extra cash, I would recommend the 8800GTX though. But the GTS is fine.

I own an 8800GTX and play Oblivion at 1680x1050 on the max settings with 4xAA 16xAF, and it really pushes the card.

But AA and AF aren't my thing.

I primarily play source based games, maybe looking to moved to Crysis when it comes out, but my monitor only supports 1680x1050.

Would GTS be able to perform as well as the GTX with those settings?

Is it worth to save the extra $150 or so?
