Hello,

I had a crash, my win2K server's HD failed, this was the operation master
for my domain.
I can transfer a role's, like global catalog to my other server(named
dino),..., but to transfer the role of operation master, the actual
operation master(the one that crashed) needs to be on-line!
This is not possible, so how can I resolve this problem so that I can chage
the role of oeration master to dino?
I have a Win2k server with AD, and a win 2003 member server vor TS in my
domain.

Tx. for any help.

It needs to be online to transfer the FSMO roles. It does not need to be on
line to seize the FSMO roles.

See:
Using Ntdsutil.exe to seize or transfer FSMO roles to a domain controller
