I'm trying to do a complete restore of a W2K3 server to different hardware.

I'm using Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 to backup the Source server drives and
system state.

On the target server, I installed a vanilla copy of W2K3 Server and the
veritas remote agent and was able to successfully restore all of the data.

However, for the system state, it makes you specify a folder on the drive to
put the files, but does not restore them to the correct place.

I attempted to copy many of these files to the correct place from a command
prompt in Directory Services Restore mode, but so far, the registry is still
not restored.

Any thoughts on a procedure to follow? Seems like it should be easier than
this.
