I already asked this question on the ASUS forum & didn't have much luck, so I thought I'd give this one a shot since it's really more of a RAM question...
Tomorrow I'm receiving components for a whole new PC. In this package I'm receiving an ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus MB ( http://usa.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1567&l1=3&l2=11&l3=495 ) & 2 gig of G. Skill DDR2 800, PC2-6400 RAM ( http://www.gskill.com/indexen.html ). (Click on the F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK link).
The RAM's timings are 4-4-3-5. Is this good or bad? I'm still unclear as to understanding timings...
QVL list: http://usa.asus.com/100/download/products/1459/1459_10.pdf
This RAM does not show up on the QVL list & I was told it was a newer RAM so that it may work with the board & just may not be on the list.
Can anyone please tell me if they know if this RAM will work or do I need to consider buying RAM directly from the QVL list?
Thanks in advance!
