Ok well i still havent bought CPU .. have been waiting until the amd 5400/5600 and 6000 came out as retail and well the prices seem to be :
335 for 5400 408 for 5600 and 560 for 6000 (CDN)
5200 goes for 272 .....
Will combine this with Vista 32 for now and 2 GB DDR2 6400 Ram
And would like to either use AMD new dx10 card or one of the 8800 cards

I think the big question is the vid card being that if you do get the 8800's, almost all of AMD's CPU's perform the same when running a GTX to a GTS. I would say wait it out though, see what the R600 has to offer. Since the R600 launch will also come with mainstream from both sides you'll be able to make the perfect choice on what to get.
Well, it's the right idea to think about the video card, but the direction it works is that when the video card is powerful enough (like the 8800s), then is when the cpu does finally matter to the framerate more, because fewer games are then video card limited. (Keep in mind framerates above 70 fps do not matter though to the eye). But waiting for the r600 is very sensible unless cost is less important that having it now.
