password expiring ??? what's that about and how do I stop ..

Sounds like the admin at work set it up so your password expires after a
certain amount of time. Also sounds like he didn't set it up so you can't
use the same password immediately.

This is a security measure.

thanks Danny,

well, I'm the one who set it up, but this must have been a default
setting, how do I change it?

there is only the administrator profile which does have a password,
and one restricted profile which I setup without a password, but both
of them were giving me that message saying the passwords were
expiring. ??

Where would I go change that behavior?

your suggestions worked perfectly, I'm not sure how it got set that
way, but now have a check on the "password never expires" option, so
assuming it will work now.
