I have a WRT54GX2 router and WPC54GX wireless card. Also have another wirless card WPC54GS. I keep loosing my connection only when gaming threw them. Surfing the web have no problem signal is always at the top since the router is about 10 feet above my head. I have tried these 2 cards and still get this problem. Also I used to have a WRT54G and it did this too. I have upgraded the firmware to a beta from linksys and still no go. Anyone have a suggestion? I have tried it with and without a ssid and wep and even no security, still no go. I just want a stable connection for gaming even if i have to slow the speed it would be ok. PLEASE help I have windows xp on one machine and vista on another. I have tried using the WZC and the program that came with linksys.

Tough call.. how long are you gaming before you get disco'd?

I'd try adjusting your MTU to something smaller.

Between 10 min to 2 hours it varys from time to time. Its just so annoying I am at the point of upgrading to N and see if that works but don't want to waste the money if its going to be the same.
