Does anyone have a list of files and folders that
can be safely deleted before ghosting a partition?

I'll be clearing the cache, delete cookies, and history
from IE6, and will manually delete everything from
WinNT\Temp\, but I think there are some more
places where W2K or programs deposit unneeded
temp files. Can anyone name a few more of those
places?

TIA

You can remove the update folders in c:\WinNT that
start with $.

Note that each user profile also has a temp folder.

Lastly, get rid of all dump files (.dmp).
