8800gtx Power Requirements

I want to get an 8800 on newegg, but my problem is that it says that you need:
Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 28 Amps.)

Does this mean any ATX 12V PSU with over 450 watts will work? Or do I need to look if it also has 28 amps (which I don't know what it is, or how to look for it.)

well you need at least 450w, BUT amperage is far more important, for gtx you need at least 28amps on 12v rails(combined)

how to look for it?

look for "output"
ex. +3.3V@28A,+5V@30A,+12V1@18A,+12V2@18A,+12V3@18A,
+12V4@18A,-12V@0.5A,+5VSB@3.0A

^12v amps is what you need to look for
