The fps for games I play are deteriorating. For example normally I get around on average 60FPS in American Army and never below 50. But recently I get an average of 50 and can get as low as 30. I did not have other applications running. Nor is my system or graphics card overclocked. So what could be the problem and what can I do to check?

System Specs:

P5B deluxe
E6600
ASUS EAX1900XT

Have you tried running disc cleaner, defragmenting and the latest drivers for your card? How much RAM do you have? Also check windows task manager to see what processes run in the background and run msconfig to see what loads by default during startup. There could be stuff you don't need there.

Update drivers, clean system of viruses, spyware, adware, close unwanted tasks.

Do all of the basic things, and see if it helps. :wink:
