Hi

Getting a new system soon with the following specs

C2D e4300 - $235
Gigabyte 965p-S3 - $155
2GB A-DATA 800mhz - $225
Silverstone ST50EF+ - $115
250GB Seagate Sata2 - $99
Thermalright Ultra 120 - $79

Note: Prices are in Aus $$$'s!

The case will depend on how much money I have left over

I will be overclocking the system

I will get a $25 6200 for now and then get an 8600Ultra in just over a month when its released

How much of a difference do you think there will be between a 50, 75 or 100CFM 12cm fan to go with the Ultra 120?

Is there anything for a similar cost that will be better? Is everything compatible?

Looks like a godly OCing setup, but you should spend a few more bucks to get the DS3 instead of the vanilla S3 (DS3 is better for overclocking).

Only other comment is that A-DATA seems like an iffy brand. I've learned in my years of experience that there are two things you never skimp on when it comes to building computers, and those are your motherboard and your memory. I've had compatibility and reliability issues every single time I've bought cheap-o stuff in those areas... memory not working with my motherboard, whole memory sticks breaking down, etc.

Get yourself some Kingston, Corsair, Crucial, or something like that... don't buy that offbrand crap.

I thought A-DATA was decent

Corsair/Kingston/G.Skill are almost 100$ more

I could get 667 Corsair/Kingston for the same Price as the 800 A-DATA though

Isnt the only difference between the S3 and DS3 the solid state capacitors which make the board last longer?
From the reviews Ive seen they reach the same FSB speed(~500) which is more than I need

I've heard that because of the cheaper parts the S3 tends to run hotter, which could impact your OCing stability. Plus the DS3 is only like $10USD more expensive on Newegg, so it's one of those "what could it hurt?" situations.

Also, Newegg has 2gb (1gb x2) of Kingston DDR667 for $140USD right now if you look carefully... it's a pretty incredible deal.
