I have a W2K server that is a domain controller, also runs Wins, DHCP and
DNS. I now need to replace this server. Can anyone give me some tips on what
is the best order in which to do things.

ie I thought the way to go would be this :

Install Windows/Service Packs/Patches, and make the machine a member of a
workgroup rather than our domain
Get the data off the old server and put it onto the new one
Install/Configure WINS, DHCP, DNS on the new server
Unplug the old server
Delete the DNS/WINS records of the old server(?)
Join the new server to the domain
Do dcpromo on the new server

Is there anything that I have forgotten? DOes anyone know if there is a
Microsoft document somewhere that might describe this process in detail?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
