Hey!
I need help. I'm trying to build PC here in US. im from europe so im going to buy some parts here like cpu, motherboard, video card and ram... im gonna buy other staff like power supplie, hdd home. but what do you thing about things that i pick???
cpu - intel core 2 duo 2.13 E6400
mother board - asrock conroe LGA 775 ATX intel
video card - radeon x1950xt
ram - OCZ S.o. 2GB DDR2 667
i was than thinking about buying cooler for video card because i read here about temp. problems.
and do you thing, can 500W power supplie handle all these things if i will have beside this staff hard drive, cd rom and sound card??? :?
and what do you think about overclocking E6400 on stock cooler? is it going to run good? or should i get a cooler for that??? :?
i really appreciate all opinions on this. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
and last question... if i will bring this home, and build it home, is it going to work, because of different electricity?
A stock cooler will work with a mild overclock, more than that get a better one.
This is the MB, I think. It is not very good:
Asrock ConroeX-fire p945 For about the same price, this one is much better
MSI P965 Neo All of the X1950XT I see at Newegg have coolers, should be fine with good case fans
OUCH. Not good. You'll need a better PSU, especially if you plan on overclocking. I know there are always budget issues, but the PSU is what keeps your system running stable....if something happens with it, you could lose other components too. Spending an extra $40 or so will be a very good investment on your new system. Don't cheap out on the PSU. Cheap out on the CPU.....get a 4300 instead....it's a very FAST chip, make no mistake.....and it'll overclock alot too.
With the money you save there, get a better PSU. Plan on spending $100 on a good PSU.
A better PSU and a 4300 is MUCH BETTER than a 6400 and a garbage PSU. Seriously.
No way, bud. You don't put a $40 psu into a system like that. The PSU is the soul of your system, and if it blows on you, it'll take a lot of other expensive equipment with it.
If you're going on the cheap, these would be the lowest common denominator:
