I currently have these specs...

Videocard: ATI X1800 GTO 256
Processor: Pentium D805 @ 3.0 ghz
Mainboard: MB ABIT AW9D 975X 775
Memory: 2gig (4x512) DDR2 800
Soundcard: ABIT AudioMAX
PSU: SUNBEAM SLI 550wattz

I just wanted to hear some responses from people who have one or anyone really on how much better performance I'll get from this cpu. I will over clock it after a week of stock usage. Just my preferance.

I've already read a few bench marks on how its a better buy than a 6300, and I"ve browsed a few threads on here already about the 4300. But I haven't seen anything comparing to the 805.

You'll see a huge performance increase. Just take a look at Tom's benchmarks, overclocked you will run at about the same speed as whatever processor's clock speed you match (e.g. E6600 if you run at a moderate 2.4GHz).

Yea, but at the current price, its only like 10 buck cheaper than a 6300... which isn't that great of a deal for me.

The e4300 is a socket 775, my motherboard is a "ABIT AW9D 975X 775 ". So yes my motherboard supports it. The cpu is a temp cpu till I save up money to buy better. And thats if games like Crysis actually bring the cpu to its knees.

It's not that the 805 was bad but, a max oced 805 could not catch a moderately oced X2.
Now, the best OCed X2 can not catch a moderately oced 4300.
