Unable to run system state backup, VSS error

Hi all,

I am attempting to run a system state backup on a win2k3 member server, but
recieve the following error:
Source:VSS Event ID:12289
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error
DeviceIoControl(\\?\Volume{e22c560a-afbe-11d9-8972-806e6f6e6963} -
00000134,0x0053c008,00037A08,0,00038A10,4096,[0]). hr = 0x80070570.

I have also run vssadmin list writers, with the folowing results:

What program are you using to make your backup? I've seen one instance in
which updating firmware/driver for the storage controller resolved this
issue.

Thanks Kevin,

The issue was resolved by a reboot. BTW I am using Veritas backup exec v
10.0 to run the backup on sun hardware.

I have recently seen the same error on HP hardware. The reboot rectifies the
fault (ie it has not returned for a month)
