I have a strange problem on a server that I have recently taken over
management of.
I'm trying to add the DNS Server component using Add/Remove Programs >
Add/Remove Components > Network Services > DNS.

However, whenever I do this, I get the following error:

"Could not install the Domain Name System (DNS) component because a file or
registry entry is missing"
Then I can only click Finish, without DNS actually installing.

I can't seem to find any help on the web for this so would appreciate any
ideas.
