I need a new monitor because my 21 inch crt monitor is giving me a burning smell when I up the resolution to 12x10. This 19inch should be about the same size, the ms is 5, and it has a decent max resolution setting, and the price is not to bad either.

What do you guys think?

That's the problem with all 6-bit LCD monitors. Only 8-bit LCD monitors can give true 16.7 million colors. Typically, any 19" or larger LCD monitor that sell for less than $400 with less than 8ms GTG response time is a 6 bit LCD screen.

Many manufacturers lists their 6-bit monitors can produce 16.7 million to confuse potential customers.

The only LCDs which I know of that list GTG response time of less than 8ms and are 8-bit LCD screen are the BenQ FP241W and FP241WZ. BenQ lists the BTB response times at 16ms.

I bought it for a new build recently and It was well worth it. Gaming has much improved from my 19" CRT.
