Mobo recommendation for E6600

Please recommend a motherboard for my upcoming rig. My starting point is Intel's E6600 and at least 2 GB of RAM but I don't know what type yet. The most importing thing for me is stability and reliability. I won't be doing any overclocking.

There doesn't really seem to be much performance differences between major brand mobo, especially if you're not overclocking. It really comes down to features and price, e.g., if you have a camcorder, you'd want onboard firewire, do you want SLI or Crossfire. Suggest you go to newegg and do a power search on C2D mobo to get an idea of what you want.

P965 chipset motherboards have only 1 IDE port. This SATA optical allows you flexibility for using that one port by leaving it empty for now.

I fully expect posters that follow will blast this combination because it does not meet their needs for high bling and overclocking ability. These do meet your stated needs very well though.
