Has anyone heard when NBC will add CC to their HD channel.

A rather large population of HD users are affected by this.

I've been searching but cannot find an email to write to NBC. Has
anyone else tried to lite a fire under them.

This is almost certainly a local station issue, as my local NBC
(Washington, DC) has closed captioning on their HD channel.

Another thing to know is that there are two ways to send CC on ATSC. One
is an "ATSC-only" way, and the other is a system that rigs the old CC
into the ATSC broadcast. Some STBs understand only one method (and it
might be either method) and some understand both. I know my STB (the RCA
DTC-100) handles both, so I can't say which method my local NBC uses.

My Toshiba TV gives CC when muted.
