Do a search in the Windows 2000 area called "ACPI" this will show lots of messages conecerning ACPI and how to disable it.

if your trying to break up that new fetish of microsofts, for placing everything on one irq?

goto device manager, then double click computer, update that driver to standard computer. that well fix that.
if ur trying to simply disable it? shut it off at the bios

The best solution is to not let win2k use it in the first place. Basically, during the opening 'movie', you hit f5 (when it tells you to hit f6 for third party scsi drivers).

i have a question. does updating the driver to standard PC effect a MPS system? i have a dual processor setup, that's teh driver it shows, just wondering if using the standard PC driver will effect performance. thanks.
