$26,000 PC???

Yeah at retail prices I think thats about $6000 just for the hard drives. Another $6000 for the Gpus. the case + paint alone are probably close to $2000. It all starts to add up pretty fast.

i5000XL can't run video cards in SLI and does not have that many pci-e lanes.

Should used a 4 cpu amd 8000 system with nforce pro for SLI

or a 2 cpu Opteron 2000 system with nforce pro and hardware sas raid and 4 ram sticks per cpu with amd up come quad-cores cpus. 4x4 only has 2 per cpu.

Thats rite, we got a huge trading company in our area that just put together 20 quad Opteron servers, and each opteron cost 15000 usd with the cooling included.

THey had to have their redundant PDC's and BDC's, you know how stocks and trading are.

IF a server fails, u need a duplicate up within nanoseconds, otherwise you stand to lose billions in paper value.

thats 80 cpu's at 15000 each u do the math.

if the german currency is in euros... it would be even more expensive then... $26k euros i guess comes out to $34,153.6 usd... or if it was $26k usd, it would only be $19,792.9 euros... either way though, it came out to be very expensive

And as someone already pointed out, it can't even run those cards in SLI due to the motherboard not supporting the tech. You could build and much better pc that performs faster in games then that pos fro around 2500
