I already have a production domain. But I want to setup a test lab with 2 servers and a couple of desktops to test software and SPs. Can I give this test setup a different domain name and still use the same network (inside wiring to get to outside internet) I don't want the test and production domains to have any relationship, communication, or interference.

a better way to ask this question. Can two unrelated domains co-exist on the same network without interfering with each other?

Typically there should be no problem.
