Well, I'm looking to buy one of these kits, and they are both the same price. I can't decide which to get though... both have the same timings and run at 2.1v, and common sense tells me to get the 8500 as it's faster, but....

the 8000 uses Micron D9GKXs, whereas the 8500 uses D9GMH chips. I've read in numerous places that the GKXs are the best overclockers, but all top end memory seems to use GMHs now... any ideas?

Probably seems like a small distinction and both will likely be good, just want to get the most for my money that I can. :)

kind of off-topic but... WTF is "Sli ready" RAM.

Unless someone can think of a good argument in their defence I need to go hunt me some OCZ marketers. The herd must be culled.
