Restore of AD controller to different hardware

Hi iam having problems with a restore of a AD controller
with DNS.
The hardware is DL380 Generation 3 whereas the original
hardware is a DL380. The system is patched to sp4.
From what i can make out the network cards are different
in the two machines, and after the restore the server
hangs with establishing network connections.

Ive tried a in place uppgrade after restore without
success.

The KB´s ive looked at so far are 249694,810161,263532.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
