VGA V DVi connector

i am just wondering guys i have samsang syncmaster 941 bw lcd moniter and evga 8800 gts 320 Mb card. my moniter has both vga and DVi connector. i am connecting right now though VGA as i am using switch KVM will it make any diffrence in games or in normal display if i connect it with DVI cable.

DVI has a better picture quality and allows higher resolution. DVI is also Digital while VGA is analog.
