I was hoping someone could help problem solve this.

I have a 160gb Lacie d2 external HD and recently bought a 250gb external HD. I want to swap the two HD so the d2 case has the 250gb drive in it. I did this, however the new 250gb HD will not work in the d2 case with the USB port, however it does work with teh firewire ports. The new 250gb HD also works with its original case with a USB connection.

There must be some issue with the power of the usb port or something like that in the d2 case, correct? Both HD are Lacie (the d2 and FA Porsche) cases, the 160gb is a seagate and the 250gb is a Hitachi.

Has anyone had a similar problem or know how to problem solve this?
