Help pls. I have a GA-8KNXP motherboard and have been using the onboard LAN port (Intel R Pro/1000 CT). It has just informed me that it is trying to install new hardware for the ethernet controller after several years of good service. Tried installing the drivers from the CD, wizard says it could not locate them, similarly for Intel folder on C drive. Intel PROset says problem is "No string found Id3009 DLL_8023 Locale c09".
Peripheral enabled in BIOS.

Problem fixed. Inserted a PCI network card, XP found it and installed it and also reactivated ethernet connection on motherboard. Removed PCI card and computer is back to where it was before problem.
