Is it possible to replace a server with a new server and
use the same computer name. The original server will be
taken offline and then the new one online. This really
has to due with printer ports as this is a print server.

The SID is used to identify objects in the domain. The
name that you assign is for your use, not the systems,
therefore you will still have to enter a computer account
in the domain for your new server and make sure all prior
references to the Original Server point to the new server.
There are two parts to the SID, the first half is the
DOMAIN ID and the second half is the RELATIVE ID for the
domain the server is in. Hope this answers your question.
