I've had an email from TomTom that the upgrade to version 5 is now
available! However, the site to which one is diverted has very little about
the new system and no information as to whether it is available for an iPac
2210.
Grateful views and guidance.

Hi Eric,

The 2210 is listed as compatible. See:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/righ [...] arch_text=

There a many questions about TomTom 5. Upgrade shipping is stated to
take as much as 5 weeks. The TT 5 package with Bluetooth has just become
available in Europe and "may" be available in the USA 6/16/2005.
Reports of user experience are very limited as of now. There is an
Italian forum that seems to have the most information. There are some
unhappy users who talk about going back to version 3.
