Sound card wont go in my PCI slot?

I was installing a Creative X-fi xtremegamer and it wont go in the PCI slot all the way. I applied a good amount of pressure but not too much to risk damaging my motherboard.

My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3

Blow slot clear, check no obstructions, try again gently.

You have to come at it at right angles, both horizontally and vertically.

Make sure the top of the fixing bracket isn't stopping the board from going down far enough into the slot :?

Well i got it...apparently i wasnt pushing it hard enough, was afraid i would crack my mobo though..
