I have two Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, 8MB 80GB drives setup in raid 1, and 120GB used in external USB for storage. I was given a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb Hard Drive. How and what would be the better configuration to max the efficiency of these three drives? Not a gamer and MB has SATA 3.

I'm assuming, since they're the 8mb models, that the two 80gig drives are SATA 3.0? . IMHO, even though you're not a gamer, I'd reconfigure those two into a raid 0 and have your OS run from them, just so things run a little more efficiently. I think you'll notice the disappearance of a little lag that was caused by the mirror. Use the 250g on a separate channel as data storage and backup. Keep the 120 as an external hd for moving stuff around. Just one opine, I'm sure there'll be others.
