This is pretty amazing. I wonder how well these babies overclock.

i can see these showing up in laptops

Maybe, but i don't think so, as first off, its a xeon, second, i believe most mobile chips are sub 35w?

I have seen plenty of laptops with p4 or x2 cpus in them but i would agree that they would sonn down a battery

Not that I wouldnt like the extra performance, but there are things that make me doubt that these will make it into notebooks: a, cost b, heat (almost 50% increase in p.consumption)

There goes AMD's energy efficient claims out the window, as if they weren't out there already.

Should do very well in the server market, but those fricken FB-DIMMs aren't helping at all.
