Hi every1,
I have spent the week-end trying to figure out what graphic card to buy.
I am purchasing a ASUS m2n32-sli deluxe, along with a AM2 (3800). I know the chipset is Nvidia, but I really like the Radeon 1950xt video card. Will it work with it (I mean 100%) ??
If not, or even if it works, I might want to prefer a sli compatible card (ATI)...
Basically I am completely lost on what to decide, I have read tons of reviews, etc... and now I would prefer a direct advice on my case.
My budget for the card is 150-200 pounds.
I would really like a powerfull card (playing supreme commander).

Many thanks in advance.

D.

The thing is that I am realizing that I might one day want to buy another card and run it in sli on my sli compatible board.
Is there a Nvidia equivalent (price/performance) to the 1950xt ?
I know Tom'shardware is saying there is no contender at that price, but what do you all think ?

The only thing Nvidia has that compete's with the X1950 XT for value is the 8800, which is an awesome card.

If you can afford the 8800, go for it. Otherwise, the X1950 XT is a good buy for you.

Thanks for the advice, I am actually already over budget so I will buy the X1950XT.
Another question: I found the X1950XT as a sapphire, a connect, or a msi. Is there a MAJOR didderence between them ?

Price, factory overclocked, different coolers. I would go with the cheapest one considering you're already over budget. There is no major difference.
