I read the other thread and tried setting up my computer to power on
automatically. I went into scheduled tasks and continually get this message:
"The new task has been created but may not run because the account
information could not be set. The specific error is: 0x80070005: Access is
denied. Try using the task page browse button to locate the application"
I browsed and still nothing. i adjusted power settings so that it could
power up on just the battery alone. The battery is charged. Also, I have
never had a password on my home computer so what gives? Thanks in advance to
anyone who can help me.

One issue you'll have is http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310715 although
I'm not sure that will solve all your problems. Double check the account
information on all scheduled tasks.
