Seagate 7200.10 jumpers

The jumper is there that limits it to 1.5gb/s. I am getting a eVGA 680i motherboard, will it's SATA controller work with the 7200.10 if I remover the jumper for "normal" 3.0gb/s operation?


I am guessing the jumper is just there out for the box so people don't loose it or something.

It will work just fine, I took off the jumpers on both of my 7200.10's and they work flawlessly.
