I just upgraded my win2k box to win2k3 and had Services for Mac loaded
previously with it working and my MAC users could get to the shares I
created. Since I upgraded they can no longer get to the share. When they
go into the chooser and select the server it immediately asks for Guest
Access or a Registered user. Neither works when I try to select it.
Usually you get the shared volumes first and then you would be prompted with
the username and password. I have been reading several post from others on
different sites, but everything I have tried does not work. Some mentioned
about changing the Default Domain Policy or the Domain Controller Policy. I
have gone into Comp. Management and clicked on Shared Folders and setup the
MAC Config, and still nothing. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Have you ever installed the Microsoft UAM on the mac Clients? From what
I understand about server 2003 the clear text passwords that pre OS X
boxes and Winodws 2000 servers rely on without the UAM would definitely
be off on 2003

I can't even get access to that volume, because it prompts for a username
and password before I even get to see the list of volumes availably.

skip the volume, just download the Mac client and install it on the
macs, and see if it works then

I tried copying the files from the UAM volume on my server to a cd and then
installing that installer on the mac, but it errors out, because it can't
get access to the server.
