My rig totaled roughly $3000...

I think you should come down a bit in your asking price.
March 14, 2007 3:24:10 AM

Dont buy it if you dont want to. But please kids only respond if ur serious about purchasing. If not, go waste someone elses time. Thanks.
March 14, 2007 3:26:54 AM

LOL 3500?!?!?!?, there isn't much of a processor upgrading path on a 939..
go on new egg and build that exact setup, see how much it comes to.
March 14, 2007 3:55:00 AM

GL ;)

I'd be asking for about 2k maybe 2.5 with all that extra junk...
March 14, 2007 4:00:45 AM

Is that 3500 DOLLARS 8O

This is a joke right , you would never get that kind of cash for any computer . Unless it came with warranty and support .

Plus the 939 is decadent now , meaning redundant = No get no good cash for this crap .

Also post it somewhere else this is not the right forum . 3500
March 14, 2007 4:03:06 AM

yes, how dare we post just how overpriced that thing is. We should all sit back and let him rip someone off!....
March 14, 2007 5:13:34 AM

I know what you are trying to say but most of us are here to help and not let new people (like we are were at one time) get burned by pre-built rigs and overpriced junk.
March 14, 2007 7:04:56 AM

Yep... It's probably hot.
March 14, 2007 7:29:03 AM

That might explain why the OP does not have a clue what it is worth!
March 14, 2007 7:30:50 AM

Kids? Man wish I were still a kid my investments would be worth twice as much when I decide to retire

March 16, 2007 9:19:13 AM

A blatant bump of your post :p  thats kind of low class ;)  you could have made SOME comment :p
March 16, 2007 9:47:32 AM

Custom builds arent as easy to sell or trade-in as a dell. You might want to use froogle.google.com and sort out a fair price list for each piece of hardware. Consider selling it locally in the town you live. Place an advert in your local personal newspapers and magazines. Take pictures of it and make the price list mentioned earlier and create a myspace page. These are just some ideas ive had when i wanted to sell my pc's/hardware that i didnt want anymore.
March 16, 2007 10:02:48 AM

LOL, my PC I just built didn't cost that much, and still won't after a gfx card upgrade to a 8900 or R600, and that's Canadian dollars. And it will run circles around that. I could easily build that PC in the States for $2500 or less. And for $3500 I could build something with an QX6700, Dual 8800GTX's, and quality RAM that would make anybody here drool.
March 16, 2007 10:21:38 AM

Mediocre CPU, medicocre graphics card, socket 939, bag of ****.

$3500!
March 16, 2007 10:38:31 AM

Yeah i built this one for $3500 including a Hp24"LCD
March 16, 2007 10:41:29 AM

give him a break. He probably never sold PC's before :) .

a little suggestion:

1. It's USED. No matter if you overclocked it or not. Look up the current retail prices of the components and apply a 30% discount for that. at least 30%.
March 16, 2007 11:08:31 AM

Riiiiiiiiiiippppppppp-oooooofffffffffffff.

That "HOT" system is very expensive for limited preformance. I suggest you price it on NewEgg (USD) and then find out how much its really worth... remember to take off 20% for used.

Not going to rip on ya or anything, but I think you should come down in your price. If you were looking to make a profit perhaps you should get your retail license and buy wholesale, otherwise you're losing money because 1) any tech who wants a "gaming" rig will know the prices and this is obviously too much . 2) sell in a local location, especially not here if you're looking to make a profit, we know the prices we know the technology(why wouldn't we? This is a hobby/job/both for everyone here), we know that's a shitty deal and you're not going to make a dime, at least, not from us.

LOL. Wow dude, you're pretty optimistic to post that ripoff in the General Homebuilt section. I bet 90% of the people here wouldn't buy that for a cent more than $1000.

Look I really was just curious to see what I could get for it, so if you dont like oh well but i custom built this rig and compared to most Ive seen this is a bad machine. So if you are to immature to appreciate it or just have nothing better to do than knock it. Than knock. But If you are knocking it I bet its just because its better than yours.lol
March 16, 2007 4:10:45 PM

Personally I'm 'knock'ing it because I don't want some poor sap to get ripped off because he thinks it's a good computer. Of course, one could argue that he deserves to get ripped off if he doesnt have the brains to research what he's buying, but that's another debate.

You must have mis-typed the url. You were looking for http://hub.ebay.com .

This is Toms hardware forums, where we discuss hardware and new technology, not a free advertising agency for your last-gen crappy, overpriced computer.

Please go somewhere appropriate to sell your rig.
March 16, 2007 4:15:55 PM

Ur obviously have too much time on ur hands. Maybe you should use it to think more. The quotes are correct, but lets say you order all that hardware does it just jump into the case and install itself ?? Does check everthing to make sure its confg. properly. No! Why dont you check and see what that cost to then add my time and effort plus I would like to make a little profit. belive it or not thats what smart people do. But I guess when you grow up and mommy and daddy arent paying for everything you will learn that. If you dont like the rig Oh WELL move on.

Why do you think we're all laughing at the idea of paying $3500 for that thing?

Even Dell offers better value gaming machines. They're preassembled and come with a warranty.
