IBM starts 65nm Cell production

Not really that impressive..just logical evolution...
It's a floating point monster, but you'll need a lot more than that to get the old x86 programmers learning cell processing from scratch. So my guess it'll remain confined to specialized processing (Routers, Supercomputers, etc..)

I guess what impresses me is that they could barely get yields at 3.2ghz and they look to be doubling the speed by going to 65nm. That alone is impressive. The cell hasn't blown me away, just the fact that IBM will be getting so much speed out of it.

That's about time for IBM 8O I wonder what kind of yields they have on this beast. If IBM is starting 65 nm cell now, their 45 nm should be 2 years away at least.
