I do not know much about overclocking and all that. It appears to be a very good budget build. Great job of finding parts on your terms. You might want to read Sanji's guide on the $500 AMD build

You can overclock anything, I overclocked pent 200 to 333. You have the gear and you work with what you can afford. You just don't lose much working on $20 computers.

Can you give a maximum budget? I never heard of Palit so I had to look them up which begs the question, where are you buying the parts?

I would advise getting an aftermarket heatsink. The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is a good solid inexpensive heatsink.

I really dig the G.Skill, excellent choice of Ram. GFX card is a great bang for Buck, you could have gone with the bas $319.00 880GTS 320MB, that would deliver nex gen graphics utilizing DX10, but then again you did well, might as well same some money for the better 8900 series of the NEW R600 chips from AMD/ATI.
Socket AM@ really keeps you up ahead of the game, but you could have gone w the C2D, reason is that ati will soon release their am3 boards and chips.

Great Job

The 3600+ X2 Brisbane is a fantastic overclocker, almost E4300 level (and much cheaper). Looks like a good budget build, nice work.

Why do you take a sli-board... I thought that you was building a budget computer and there's no need to go for sli.
