Hi,
I've just upgrade my friends PC from Windows 98 to W2K
SP1. I then installed Office 2000 with SR-1. When I tried
to execute programs like Word, Excel or Access, it keeps
coming back with the following error message:
xxx.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created.
Clicking the Cancel button will terminate the program.
I searched the knowledge base and came across an article
on this but I forgot to save it. When I tried to look for
it again, I don't seem to be able to find it. Can some
please offer some light on how to resolve this issue?

You may also want to apply W2K SP4 to bring it up to service pack date.
That may also solve the Office problems, but ya never know 'til ya try
