Paging file windows 2000

Hi everybody...
I am currently working in a department that deploy images
of operative systems (Windows All) and we receive images
from different customers, so I receive one that after
deploy and when login pass, the system show in
desktop "The system has no paging file or the paging file
is too small" then never complete start OS, and need to
restart the system, but repeat the same process.
I am looking for the way to increase the page file to a
system running Windows2000 Professional, in XP can do it
from DOS but in 2000 is different, the files involved
between two OS's are different too. Can't edit the
Pagefile.sys because is 800MG of size. Booting from cd
boot WinPE I can access also the registry and add key
values from other system running the same OS, but when
login again, again the same "error" also the key values
were deleted.
Please don't recommend: Format HDD, Reinstall OS, I can't
do that because is a custom image. Thank you for all.
