as for the psu it will work until i upgrade to sli when the new dx10 cards come out. this is just my starter system

For a starter system it's OK. You won't be playing with all the options on or in high resolutions. Without an OC, that processor is kinda weak. If you're going to overclock, go with the other poster's advice and get a processer a step down and OC it. With the money saved, get 2 gigs of RAM. Never heard of the PSU before. You really shouldn't skimp there though or you can have all kinds of problems.

The processor is fine. The other guy saying the e6400 is weak is crazy...

Like I said it is a good system. Stick a quality PSU in there and you'll be good.

By quality, I don't mean watts..

Did you all read the original post? He already has an E6400 there is no get this one or get that one.

He asked if it was good or not and if any upgrades were recommended. To take out a E6400 and put in a E6300 would be a down grade. Wrong direction.

Thats what I am saying. Saying the e6400 is weak, get the e6300 makes no sense. Now, if you said, get the e6300 because with an overclock it has a similar performance per dollar ratio, your argument would be valid.... but HE ALREADY HAS THE STUFF.

Even if it doesn’t come with 4 meg L2 cache his next upgrade shouldn't be until 45nm hits (Late this year or early next year) if then. Otherwise the performance gained will not be enough to justify an upgrade this soon.

(To Pong)

sounds like you have more money then sense, honestly.... :p

No offense intended at all, but the upgrade from 2mb to 4mb is not going to make a significant difference.
