XP to Windows 7 - 64

Hello, I want to buy a new 64 bit machine running windows 7 (64 bit). My current machine runs xp. I'm using office 2007. My excel,word and power point documents work under office 2007 even though many were created under office 97?? Will these documents still work on windows 7-64. If no, would they work in XP mode under Windows 7-64?

please dont bother with these silly questions, you should really just look at the software yourself it says windows 7 compatable so of course it will work

a format is just a format it will work no matter the operating system version (you might need 3rd party software to use it but that is very rare)
