no, you can get crt projection systems that do 720p (1080p also)

Newer models. Mine only does 480i, 480p and 1080i.

My Sony Wega XBR800 36" does 720p and 1080i. Beautiful!

It may be beautiful, but it converts 720p to 1080i. It does not display
720p.

None of the Samsung CRT HDTV displays are 720p native.
