Memory problem

Last response: in Windows 7

Hello, I have a question about the Modified Pages value on a Windows 7 system. Modified Pages seems to grow without bound after a few days of leaving the pc on until it hits the physical memory limit, then the system pretty much grinds to a halt due to low memory. Imagine booting win 7 at 35% RAM usage which increases to bout 70% at idle after 1 day and then 96% after bout 4-5 days

Any idea what's going on? Is there a way to remove cached memory without restarting? Or set some limits?

Are you looking at the task manager for your usage?
My system has been run 24/7 for nearly 2 months now and my idle is at 0%
