Have a older computer that needed a new CMOS battery.

after replacing the battery, the machine will not boot.

No beep codes or POST either.

Any suggestions?

There should be a jumper on the mobo that should clear out the CMOS settings, check your mobo manual. Insert the jumper to the correct pin positions and leave it there for a few seconds, then put the jumper back to it's original position. Hopefully that will do it.
