I have a DELL Axim30. I did a full backup to an SD card.
I hard reset my PDA, restore data from the same SD card, I found that I lost
more than a hundred files.
Luckily, I kept a separate backup copy of these files in a different
directory on my PC.
Is this normal? Any ways to prevent this lost of files in backup and
restore operation?

Victor,
I don't know about the Dell backup process but I can tell you from
experience that the backup/restore within ActiveSync restored everything for
me, including categories and other data.
Not really an answer but possibily another suggestion for you.

Hi Victor,
My experience is similar to Clinton's.
You say "full backup to an SD card", are you using some third party software
or software that came with your Axim?
Or are you using activesync and placing the file on an sd card?
